Sand Land has the characteristic art of Akira Toriyama, who in turn is very similar to Dragon Quest, the famous Square Enix franchise, a studio that is preparing the twelfth numbered installment of the JRPG franchise. On the other hand, Sand Land has been adapted into an anime film made in CGI by several studios, including Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and Anima. The film will open in Japan on August 18, 2023 and promises to be true to Toriyama’s style and humor. It is not yet known if it will reach other countries, but it is expected to be a success among fans of the Japanese author.
