Before the One Piece time jump, the series delighted us with many memorable and epic moments that were stored in the minds of viewers
More than 25 years have passed since One Piece began its publication and it has already exceeded a whopping 1,000 chapters and counting. Eiichiro Oda's work has become not only one of the best Shonen of all time, but also one of the most influential. This title offers a lot of interesting charactersgreat world building and a narrative that will keep you in your seat wanting to discover more.
Before the time jump, time that the Straw Hats took advantage of to train and become stronger, we had some memorable moments that remained marked in the minds of all of us who followed One Piece at that time. We've taken the time to compile some of these best moments.
The Mugiwara entrance to the Grand Line
The Straw Hats' oath upon entering the Grand Line is one of the most impressive moments
Definitely one of the most iconic moments of This franchise was the entry to the Grand Line. This occurred after the Straw Hats left Loguetown and approached Inverted Mountain. Then, a little before starting this ascent trip, the group gathered in front of a barrel. One by one, they expressed their dreams in a kind of ceremony, while they put their foot on the top of the barrel.
It was here that we discovered that Zoro wants to become the strongest swordsmanwhile Nami dreams of drawing a map of the world, Sanji finding All-Blue, Luffy becoming Pirate King and Ussop becoming a brave warrior.
Luffy challenges the World Government
Another of the most memorable scenes of The entire first part of One Piece was during the Water 7 saga. We are referring to that moment when Luffy and the other Straw Hats stand in front of the World Government and, through a Sogeking attack, challenge the Navy and the Government. All in order to rescue Robin.
Zoro's sacrifice in Thriller Bark
Zoro's sacrifice is another of the most epic moments that enrich the character
Continuing with the best moments before the One Piece time skip, We must highlight that scene in which Zoro receives all the pain and suffering that Luffy received during the events of Thriller Bark. This at the hands of Kuma, one of the Shichibukai at the time. In this way, Zoro demonstrated loyalty to his captain and established him as one of his favorite characters.
The Going-Merry Farewell
Few anime can do that people have emotions and cry over a ship and One Piece is one of them. The Going-Merry was the ship on which the Mugiwara sailed for much of the beginning of the play. Throughout the trip, it acquired a lot of damage until it could not be repaired.
Then, the Straw Hats take the decision to have a farewell ceremony while Luffy burns down the Going-Merry at a funeral. This is a memorable scene and one that made many viewers cry.
Luffy attacks a Tenryuubito
When Luffy hits the Tenryuubito it is one of the most satisfying moments in the series
When the Straw Hats visited the Sabaody Archipelago, they discovered the injustices of the real world, witnessing the slave trade and much more. All this starring the nobles of the world. In the midst of all this, and after witnessing how one of his friends was shot several times, Luffy burst out of anger and brutally beat a Tenryuubito, who is the nobility of this society. This is one of the most satisfying moments.
Whitebeard's last words at Marineford
Whitebeard proved not only to be a wonderful captain, but also an impressive father figure to his children. He risked his life to go rescue Ace, who was going to be executed in Marineford. This unleashed a great war.
Whitebeard suffered many injuries and even a major betrayal in the midst of this war. All this damage was accumulating in his body little by little.. He would later face Akainu in an impressive display of his power. However, the damage was too much, so this great character died. But not before without making the world rumble as well as his friend, Gol D. Roger, and confirming that One Piece does exist.
