When Andrew Ryan thought of creating a dystopia under the sea, he never imagined that Rapture would become the aquatic hell of decay that it became. The underwater city is one of the most iconic in the history of video games and we were able to visit it up to two times throughout the BioShock saga.
In the second installment of the franchise, we have to Controlling a Big Daddy who has to fulfill his faithful duty of protecting his respective Little Sister. A good excuse to get into a fight with all kinds of Splicers, while we walk through the corridors of the city to reach locations such as Imago Fine Arts. There the most fabulous pieces of art of the citizens are exhibited, although their appearance has worsened.
And it is that after the Dionysus Park floodingthe temperature control of the gallery was destabilized, the pipes were broken and frostbite appeared in every corner. That is why we can melt some ice blocks during the adventure, and if we defrost a specific one, we will encounter the following surprise.
That's right, a Schrödinger's cat will appear completely inert and we know that it belongs to the scientist since, unlike the rest of the dead cats that we can find in BioShock 2the cursor reveals that information and does not show the usual “corpse”. As in the theory postulated by the Austrian physicist, it is impossible to know if the animal is alive or dead.
And even though it is frozen, we cannot break it in any way, but if it is shot or hit, it will bleed. This way it is not clear whether the cat is still breathing under that layer of ice or has died. What is also impossible to discern is the random event that determines the life or death of the felinebut it surely corresponds to an unsolved Rapture mystery.
