Some Diablo IV players are back to their old ways. Season 5, or Season of the Infernal Hordes, has brought with it many new features, but also some familiar problems for the franchise. We are talking about the well-known item duplication that has so often threatened the economy.
This is a method that allows you to duplicate items through the exchange system between players. It is not a new thing. This bug affected the economy of previous installments in the past and it also did so in Diablo IV in late July and early August 2023. Bans were then announced following the resolution.

We are not going to share how it is done, but Blizzard has taken a radical measure, which affects all players, to put a stop to it and save the economy of Diablo IV: has disabled the exchange system, as on previous occasions.
Hello everyone, we are disabling Diablo IV trading while we investigate a potential item duplication issue. We apologize for this disruption and will provide updates on when we will re-enable trading once we investigate and identify any issues that need to be resolved.
The community manager (CM) of Diablo IV has been responsible for communicating Blizzard's decision on the official forum. The developers are already fixing the problem and the trading system should be available again in the next few hours. Until then, players will not be able to trade items with each other.
