Giancarlo Esposito is one of the big names that Marvel has secured for its future projects. The actor, born in Denmark, will be one of the stars of Captain America 4 in a completely unknown role. However, he still thinks about one of his dreams that, unfortunately, he will not be able to fulfill in the short term.
In an interview with ComicBook, Esposito acknowledged that when he heard the rumors about his signing with Marvel, he thought he would fit perfectly into the role of Charles Xavier. He also mentioned that he wouldn't have minded playing his nemesis, Magneto, as he could have done very well too.
“The fans started the Professor X rumor and I loved it. I got carried away because I love the fans. I started thinking about Professor by Mr. Freeze [de DC]of all those things. I'm very happy to be in the MCU. I'm happy that you don't know what I'm doing there and I'm happy that you probably don't know what I'm doing there, but I'm happy to be there and you're going to see it soon.”
Although he would have loved to be Professor X, Giancarlo Esposito continues to make it clear that his character will surprise all fans of Marvel Studios and is quite excited about the role he will have in the upcoming projects of the Disney-owned franchise.
Several weeks ago, Esposito commented that he would appear briefly in a film before having his own solo series, suggesting that his character will be important enough to generate new stories within the MCU. Captain America: Brave New World will hit theaters around the world on February 14, 2025.
