Years have passed since American McGee wanted to make Alice Asylum a reality, practically since the second part, Alice Madness Returns, went on sale, back in 2011. To support the project, the famous designer seeks funding through his Patreon, where nothing is going wrong. Even with everything, the project needs an important agent to become a reality.

That’s why, whenever he gets the chance, he doesn’t hesitate to send his pleas to Electronic Arts explicitly. On this occasion, There are two major updates to the project that accompany this new request to the company that owns the IP. Will they respond now, in the middle of 2023?

American McGee wants to make Alice Asylum a reality, even though time has not been kind to his project

Can’t say I’m not trying Although it seems that the work of all these years has no fruit, it has not given up in the middle of 2023. Although this work depends on a specific company, American McGee believes that partnering with a developer that supports his project is an important step forward.

We are talking about Virtuos, a developer known for supporting multiple renowned games. Some of his works have to do with Warzone, Midnight Suns or Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Mysterious Studios (American McGee’s studio) will receive this fundamental support, in what seems to be another step towards serious development.

The most important announcement was the presentation of a document with more than 400 pages about Alice Asylum, available on her Patreon for everyone. This contains spoilers about what the game will be, so read it at your own risk.. This contains concept art, game design, gameplay details, and a nearly finished script. This dev diary is what many have been waiting for, as a preview of the finished game.

Finally, mention the not-so-subtle message to the big company that owns the IP. American McGee wants to make Alice Asylum a reality, but he can’t do it without Electronic Arts. Let’s make impossible things happen together, and next to the message, the Electronic Arts logo, was the direct message from American McGee. It is up to them that all this work receives the boost it needs, and that thousands of players obtain the third part of this particular saga.
