If you're watching Steam Charts you may have noticed that a new game has been added to the top ranks of well-known titles such as PUBG, Palworld or Elden Ring. Banana is located at the time of writing the article in 9th place. She thus surpassed Hogwards Legacy and Baldur's Gate 3, which is no longer in the top 10.
So what made this free game worth it? Does it offer players exceptionally good gameplay or does it have a beautiful graphic design? No, it's neither. Despite the fact that on Steam, players assign it tags such as psychological horror or dating simulator it's a clicker game. Your only goal is to click on the banana and increase the score of the team above it. Unfortunately, you will lose this score after turning off the game.
If the game is so banal, why does it have one 87% positive reviews? If you look at the reviews from players, you will find that most of them are just trying to be funny and are seemingly written by “banana fanatics”. Negative reviews are no better. But some try to reveal in them what the developers are really about.
