The first Firewalk game will arrive during the month of August
Become one more bet by Sony for games as a service, concord reappeared at the State of Play to reveal its release date and all kinds of details about its proposal. Now, its developer Firewalk, one of the most recently created studios in PlayStation Studios rescuing veterans of Destiny and Call of Duty, announces the dates of its closed beta and subsequent open beta on the PlayStation blog.
The game's first beta will begin with an early access weekend on PS5 and PC from Friday the 12th to Sunday the 14th of July being exclusive to those who have pre-ordered any edition of the game, who will receive five codes for early access to the beta: one for them and four for their friends. Afterwards, it will be from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday, July 21 when the title can be enjoyed publicly both on console and computer.
It should be remembered that Concord will have optional crossplay, so the teams may be mixed between PS5 and PC players. During the beta, you can select the 16 Freegunners available at launch, so it will be possible to discover all playing styles: run and gun, control areas, attack from afar or support the team.
The beta will have various worlds and maps of the Concord galaxyhighlighting:
- Calm waters: An outpost on the scorching planet Glance, with perimeter roads and a large central courtyard.
- Aquatic Platform: On Leviathan, a planet covered in water, you will fight on a fishing platform and inside the jaws of a huge eel.
- Star Chamber: An ancient observatory in Penumbra with narrow corridors and a central meteorite.
- Voltaic Risk: Under a driving kite in Leviathan, with paths converging on a large central tower.
- Bone Mines (open beta only): On the tropical planet Akkar, you will fight among the remains of enormous vastodons and mining caverns.
Concord will seek the success of Helldivers II
Concord will hit the market imitating the commercial strategy of Helldivers II, one of the most successful PlayStation releases upon reaching PC since its launch. The title will already present its first cinematic vignettes in this beta, which will be released weekly from the August 23rd, the day the game is published on both PS5 and PC. We will have to see the impressions of this beta, prior to the release of a game that will have free subsequent updates.
