The Souls saga does not remain stagnant in video games, and will soon offer a bit of its convoluted and dark world through the new manga in the saga titled Dark Souls: Redemption. Currently, many of the details that make up this story are unknown, since it is a first volume that will be released without prior episodic publications. However, those responsible give interest to the work with the premise of its enigmatic story.
This first volume can now be reserved through Yen Press, which allows you to purchase the 216-page volume for the price of $15, but you can also opt for its digital version for only $6.99. This new story written by Julien Blondel centers on a woman who plunges into the merciless and gloomy universe of Dark Souls. Her journey reflects, in some way, the experience that the players live, although it presents an unusual twist that integrates perfectly with the characteristic atmosphere of the franchise.

This adaptation of Dark Souls to a new medium already happened with FromSoftware's most recent dark fantasy IP, Elden Ring. Unfortunately, the reception for this manga was not entirely good given the tone of the plot it had, having mostly comedy and parodies throughout an adventure that failed to connect with its readers. However, it seems that Dark Souls: Redemption will not follow that same path, and many are looking forward to it for this August 27, 2024.
