Donkey Kong Country Returns HD to be released in 2025
Donkey Kong is possibly one of Nintendo's great outstanding debts on its current console. During all this time we have been able to see that big names such as The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Super Mario, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, among others, have had great releases on Nintendo Switchbut it seems that this has not been the case of Donkey Kong, which has limited itself to seeing how it received a port of Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze.
In that sense, there are many who were shocked when they discovered that a new Donkey Kong game had been canceled by a studio outside of Nintendo, so the last hope seemed to be placed in the recent Nintendo Direct, which although it had its share of the gorilla thanks to the announcement of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, this was not what many wanted.
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD was one of the Nintendo Direct announcements
Now, it must be said that one of the great mysteries with this title has come from the hand of What was the studio responsible for its development?since although Retro Studios was in charge of the Wii version at the time, the truth is that the technical section is not at all the same as that seen with Metroid Prime Remastered in the same way that not many thought that Nintendo would divert resources from this studio to make this remaster instead of Metroid Prime 4 Beyond.
Be that as it may, it seems that this mystery has been solved, since Bankier has revealed that Forever Entertainment, based in Poland, is in charge of the remaster counting on Nintendo as the publisher of the video game.
It should be noted that Forever Entertainment is a studio known for publishing remakes of classic titles such as The House of the Dead: Remake, Front Mission: 1st Remake and Front Mission 2: Remake. We'll have to see how they do with their first foray into Nintendo games. That being said, remember that Donkey Kong Country Returns HD will be released on January 16 waiting for more information to be given about what it will bring.
