The launch of Palworld seems like a long time away, but we only have to go back to January 19. It was the first hit of 2024, followed by Helldivers 2, and brought with it many controversies, the most notable of which has to do with its nickname: Pokémon with guns.
Palworld It was a sensation both on social networks and on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series game is still alive and well five months later. Of course, their numbers have declined a bit and many users have taken advantage of the situation.
Palworld was at 2 million, then it was at 15k, now it's at 140k… not something to get upset about. In a few weeks it will go back down and in the next major update it will go up. That's how it works. Palworld could literally have 1 person playing it and that won't take away from the fact that YOU played a fun game and have fun memories of it.
In this context, Palworld's Community Manager (CM) at Poketpair has given his opinion on the matter on his personal Twitter. He urges Palworld fans not to get carried away by posts that only seek numbers and interactions, and adds that it is not worth wasting time defending the video game. “If you like it, great! If you don't like it, move on. There are many other games you can try,” he says before ending the post.
It has gone from being one of the most played video games on Steam (2,101,867 players at its peak five months ago) to having 143,369 players in the last 24 hours, according to SteamDB. While it is a sharp drop, these are not bad numbers. For example, Helldivers 2 and GTA V have had 45,315 and 171,940 players respectively in the last 24 hours.
