All games confirmed for a gala that also anticipates absences
There is less than a week left until the biggest celebration in the video game sector takes place: the Summer Game Fest 2024an event that in a few years has become the quintessential event of the summer after the end of E3 by becoming a hybrid format that brings together both in-person game demonstrations and online conferences, both generic and from specific companies.
This year, the Summer Game Fest 2024 conference will take place this Friday, June 7 at 10:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time) from the YouTube Theater in Hollywood Park in Los Angeles, which lasts two hours and can be followed on platforms such as Twitch, TikTok, X and others.

Following the live broadcast hosted by Geoff Keighley, there will be an additional two hours of news via the Day of the Devs and the Return Directthe first being a live event focused on indie games and the second being the conference of the company that owns The Plucky Squire, a highly anticipated title that recently revealed a boss battle in a new trailer.
What to expect from Summer Game Fest 2024
At the moment, it is known that 2K Games will present a new title in one of its “biggest and most beloved franchises”, with Mafia 4 being quite likely. Palworld developer Pocketpair will announce some “long-awaited features” while Alan Wake 2's first expansion, Night Springs, could be revealed. Other confirmed games are Metaphor: ReFantazio, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO and Monster Hunter Wildswhile PlayStation is expecting some other announcement after his last State of Play.
In Keighley's words, this year's event will not feature Kingdom Hearts IV or The Wolf Among Us 2, two highly anticipated titles that have been talked about a lot on social networks lately. The presenter and producer of the gala confesses that his “hype” level is eight out of ten before a delivery that will be “above all focused on things announced”it being possible that there will not be a final bombshell in the final stretch of the broadcast.
