IN Electronic Arts are not giving up on their desire to incorporate more in-game advertising into their games. It is probably the most famous in-game advertisement Barack Obama's presidential campaign in Burnout Paradisejust from EA.
EA also had similar ads in Battlefield 2142 and Need for Speed Carbon. Additionally, since 2007, EA has an agreement with advertising companies to integrate relevant in-game advertising directly into EA Sports titles such as EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA), Madden NFL, NHL, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, NASCAR and Skate.
Now EA would like to take these ads beyond sports games and offer them in classic games. But in order for it to work and not be too annoying, they must be chosen very carefully. An internal team is working on it now. The latter is supposed to find out where advertising makes sense and the players will not mind.
It's not supposed to be an ad window and other annoying atrocities. There should be a place for them advertising integrated into the game world, for example in the form of a billboard or a product. These ads are supposed to be an attractive source of revenue, or so the CEO of Electronic Arts talks about them.
