Bad news for fans of the game Splatoon 3. Nintendo is ending regular updates after two years. The colorful shooter for Switch will continue to run seasonal events with monthly challenges. The company mentions events like Splatoween, Spring Fest, Frosty Fest, and Summer Night will be recurring in the game. If necessary, there will be a possible adjustment in the balance of weapons.
Players are waiting to see if they will get a new part. It would likely be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 by now. Splatoon 3 came out in September 2022 and earned praise for its fast-paced, dynamic action that's fun and welcoming even for new players. What was frozen was that there were few changes compared to the previous part. Our review here.
After 2 INK-credible years of Splatoon 3, regular updates will come to a close. Don't worry! Splatoween, Frosty Fest, Spring Fest, and Summer Nights will continue with some returning themes!
