The digital store offers two free games this week and announces two new gifts for the next one.
After weeks of a single gift, Epic Games Store has finished its season of “mystery games” by returning to the classic delivery of two free titles per week. In this way, after having given away PayDay 2, from today Thursday June 15 until June 22 at 5:00 p.m. (peninsular time) it is possible access two games without paying a euro just by entering their tabs with a created account.
Guacamelee! 2 is the first free game this week. Developed by DrinkBox Studios, famed luchador Juan Aguacate returns from retirement in an amazing new metroidvania-style adventure in which he will have to face his greatest challenge, something that threatens to tear the very fabric of the Mexiverse apart.
Likewise, you can also download Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, the best version of the action platform game in which the player takes on the role of a fighter who battles the evil Carlos Calaca and his hordes of zombie henchmen to rescue the kidnapped daughter of El Presidente (the most beauty of the world).
New gifts next week
Next week, the Epic Games Store will again be giving away two free games starting June 22 at 5:00 p.m. The first of them will be Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, a Dungeons & Dragons strategy game where characters from across the multiverse meet in one grand adventure. The second will be theHunter: Call of the Wilda hunting game with an unparalleled setting in a realistic and visually stunning open world where the player enters the atmosphere of a solo campaign, or shares the ultimate hunting experience with friends.
Although Epic Games gave away a total of 99 free games last year in its store, the company is not spared from criticism. For example, he recently decided to release Alan Wake II in a digital exclusive format to save costs and offer a lower price, something that many fans have not liked.
