Even Aunt May wants Mary Jane out of Peter’s life.
In the vast majority of Spider-Man stories, this hero is romantically involved with the well-known red-haired girl, Mary Jane Watson, with whom he has even gotten married in more than one of the Marvel comics. While there are a few other stories where Peter has other love interests, Mary Jane dominates almost all of the Spider-Man stories.
Despite the fact that Peter Parker’s relationship with this girl has a long history, in the current main story of Spider-Man, told in the comic series Amazing Spider-ManSpider-Man has found a new love and has moved on from Mary Jane.
The cause of the separation was that Spider-Man has done something that has turned his life into a total failure, and his now ex-wife, Mary Jane, decided to leave him and get a new husband. As a result of this, Spider-Man has moved on with his life and has found a new love interest, which he has great support from Aunt May, who wants Mary Jane out of Peter’s life.
Next, we will tell you all the details about it, but you should keep in mind that this post contains spoilers for volume #19 of the comic Amazing Spider-Manfrom Marvel.
Aunt May wants Peter to get away from Mary Jane and get on with his life.
Peter’s aunt May wants Mary Jane to go away and is supportive of Peter having a new relationship
The story told in the comic series Amazing Spider-Manshows us that Peter finds himself sunk in great sadness and despair.because he has done something that has disappointed the vast majority of his friends, colleagues and loved ones, including his now ex-wife, Mary Jane.
This last, mary janeshe was quite enraged by Peter’s actions, which are unknown to the readers at this time, so she decided to leave him, find a new partner and get married.
By virtue of this, Peter, in the midst of his sadness, has tried to get aheadand although in the comic series Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man a supposed new girlfriend of Spider-Man has appeared, which is quite disastrous, apparently this relationship will not go beyond a friendship.
Crystal, a girl who was believed to be Spider-Man’s new girlfriend, but apparently it will only be a friendship for Peter
However, in one of the most recent volumes of the comic Amazing Spider-ManSpider-Man’s new romantic interest appears to be something serious, being that even Aunt May supports this relationship. The girl in question is nothing more and nothing less than Felicia Hardyalso known as Black Cat or the Black Cat.
Earlier in this series, in volume #11 of the comic. Amazing Spider-ManSpider-Man asks Black Cat to meet, because by his own admission “He needs to talk to her about what’s going on between the two of them”.
Peter tells Felicia that he doesn’t like that they are in a situation where she chases him and he pushes her away because he is scaredto which Felicia responds by saying: and you want to root out the problem, reiterating that we are and will always be just friends?
Peter denies this, and instead, surprisingly to Felicia, tells her that he would actually like it this time. have the initiative for once and ask her out first. Felicia doesn’t give Peter a concrete answer, and she leaves thanking Peter for taking the initiative from her, and telling him that “confidence looks good on him.”
Throughout the subsequent volumes of this comic series, the event unfolds. Dark Webso Spider-Man is quite busy fighting his evil clone, Ben Reilly, who has become Chasm, and Madelyne Prior, this being the reason why he had not existed no other interaction between Peter and Felicia until volume #19 from the aforementioned comic.
In volume #19 of the comic Amazing Spider-Manthe Dark Web event has ended, so Spider-Man can return to his everyday and “normal” lifein which his now ex-wife is already married with children, and he is starting a new relationship.
In this issue, Spider-Man and the Black Cat find themselves fighting threats together, and later meet on the roof of a building to have a hot chocolate after having been fighting for a long time.
Felicia tells Peter that after the chaos they’ve been experiencing in recent weeks, they should take a weekend off; Peter hesitates for a few moments, but ends up agreeing to Felicia’s invitation.
When they meet in the car, Felicia asks Peter: what did you tell May about our trip? To which Peter responds by saying that he is an adult now and that he goes wherever he wants and does not need to ask permission.
After this, a flashback is shown to Peter’s conversation with Aunt May, in which he tells Peter that he’s only going away for a weekend, and that he can call him if he needs it. In response to this, May tells Peter that she hopes he and Felicia have a good time.and don’t forget to bring a coat.
Peter, who was chewing, coughs, expressing his surprise at hearing this phrase come out of his Aunt May’s mouth, as a sign that supports Peter’s decision to date Felicia.

This lets us see that the fans who follow this comic series are not the only ones who wish that Peter move on with his life and forget about Mary Jane.who is now happy with another person.
There is no doubt that Felicia is a very good option for a possible partner for Spider-Man, and it is understandable that May supports this relationship, since Felicia is more mature and stable than Mary Jane in many ways.; We can see this evidenced in that even though a long time has passed since their separation, Mary Jane is still angry with Peter when they meet on the trip he has made together with Felicia.
Furthermore, this situation reveals Aunt May’s great and unconditional support for Petersince she was the one who prompted Peter to date Mary Jane in volume # 25 of the comic Amazing Spider-Man (1963), and now that this girl is gone, she’s encouraging Peter to get on with his life and date Felicia Hardy.
