The moment we have all been waiting for has arrived! Resident Evil 4 Remake is now available and that means that the modders have gotten down to work to offer us alternative experiences to the original with its mods. Following our customs, I bring you a list of the best ones you can find right now: from the beloved skin changes to visual improvements.
As in the lists Resident Evil 2 and 3 RemakeI’ll try to focus the list on useful mods that improve the gameplay and visual experience, and not so much on mods that change skins… although there will be a few as well.
Mods for Resident Evil 4 Remake: visual improvements, gameplay and skins
- Inventory improvement (LordGregory): If you’re having trouble managing your inventory, this mod introduces an enhancement that increases the size of your stacked items up to 999 (perhaps a little too much). It includes the ability to stack other items such as eggs, resources, snakes, grenades, and more, which in the original game take up inventory space per unit. The mod has some little problems, but its creator works to solve them. It does NOT work in the Demo. Download on Nexus Mods.
- hand torch (Keelhauled): My personal thanks to the creator of this mod. You can use the flashlight at will, quickly turn it on and off using a hotkey. It is only available for the keyboard at the moment, but it is suspected that the creator will add the option for controls. Download on Nexus Mods.
- No yellow graffiti (BonusJZ): This mod is only suitable for those who want a more immersive experience. Eliminate the yellow graffiti that indicates climbable places and breakable boxes. Includes the windows. You can also change the marks to symbols of the plague and/or bloodstains in case you want another type of sign. Download on Nexus Mod.
- visible traps (BonusJZ): Another mod that improves visibility, although in this case it affects bear traps. It allows you to see them more easily, something that will help the most clueless players. Download on Nexus Mods.
- Essential Reshade (BonusJZ): This mod slightly increases visual values such as color, sharpness, exposure and removes black bands. In other words, a reshade. Download on Nexus Mods. Another reshade (TheBig Ryan1) on Nexus Mods.
- Infinite Ammo Briefcase (JpDeathBlade) – Have you played a game or two and want a much more relaxed experience? This mod adds a briefcase mod that allows you to have infinite ammo. Once you install the mod, you must select the briefcase in the corresponding menu. Download on Nexus Mods.
- No zoom when aiming (alteredbeast) – This is one of the best mods on the list. Removes in-game zoom when aiming weapons in third person, maintaining original field of view at all times. Download on Nexus Mods.
- One shot to the head, one kill (alteredbeast): This mod has no mystery. Enemies die from a headshot. Similar mods exist for Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake. If you liked them, you probably will like this one too. Enjoy giving mochazos! Download on Nexus Mods.
- shirtless lion (TrieuPham) – A skin mod! There is the possibility of playing with Leon shirtless. If you are interested, I leave it here. Download on Nexus Mods.
- 2011 STI pistol– This mod replaces the SG-09R pistol with the 2011 STI, which comes with night sights and its own custom upgrade stats. Download on Nexus Mods.
- CJ from GTA San Andreas (HOLS): a classic. Replaces Leon with CJ for GTA San Andreas. No mysteries. Download on Nexus Mods.
- Ashley Graham by Jill Valentine (BeerBeer) – another simple mod, but interesting for someone for sure. Replaces Ashley with Jill from Resident Evil 3 Remake. Download on Nexus Mods.
- life bars (GreenComfyTea) – If you want to know how much life your enemies have left, this mod adds life bars to RPG style gameplay. The creator does not recommend using it during the first game so as not to ruin the experience, but each one is free. Download on Nexus Mods.
These are the most interesting mods of Resident Evil 4 Remake that you can find at the moment! Now it’s up to you: which one do you like best of all the proposed ones? Do you know of other mods that are worth it? The comments are all yours.
