Let’s hope they don’t hinder the gameplay.
Final Fantasy is one of the most important franchises in video game history, and the truth is that we are not exaggerating, since we are talking about the fact that its first installment managed to revolutionize the sector, laying the foundations of JRPGs. The most curious thing is that, despite different bumps, it has managed to maintain itself over the years, delivering from numbered deliveries to different spin-offs, most of them being successful, although as we have already said, Yes, there has been the odd slip.
Even so, Square Enix has always known how to overcome, which is why currently all fans of the franchise are excited for Final Fantasy XVI, of which you already have our impressions. This video game seems to change several things from what we saw in the most recent titles of the franchise, such as the fifteenth numbered installment, which managed to completely divide the community.
Now, we are in a moment in which we are learning, from time to time, new details about the game, and now it has been the turn of the cinematic theme. We tell you below how many hours of these will we have in Final Fantasy XVI.
It can be frustrating for some people
We are going to go bluntly, and it is that Naoki Yoshida, director of the game, has given several details in different interviews during the last days, among which the data that we are going to give you now stands out: the time that the cinematics of the game occupy. As he stated in one of these interviews, Final Fantasy XVI has 11 hours of cinematicsa figure so exaggerated that it exceeds some titles that are considered “dangerous games”.
Of course, we must bear in mind that we are talking about a JRPG, and therefore about a title with a large number of hours of duration, but even so, we cannot stop raising our eyebrows when reading a tremendous figure. We can only hope that these pay off, as well as that they don’t hinder the gameplay, which seems to be a centerpiece of the game.
For now we can only wait for the game to be released next next June 22 on PlayStation 5to see if it joins the list of the best RPGs ever.
