A few months ago Konami held an exclusive event dedicated to the dearest Silent Hill horror franchise. Forgotten for many years, the Japanese company has decided to remove it from ostracism and there are already several games announced for the coming years with the remake of Silent Hill 2 and the new Silent Hill F to the head.

However, the most different proposal from that event was Silent Hill Ascension, an interactive series in which players will make decisions collectively to define the progress of the story and the consequences that the characters must face. “Redemption, suffering or damnation? The actions of millions will determine the results of Silent Hill Ascension. Genvid presents a new interactive series, arriving in 2023”. This is how those responsible for the project define a game/series that has now been shown in motion with an undeniable visual section reminiscent of a video game, but with a concept that is still difficult to classify.

As we said, visually Silent Hill Ascension is more like interactive horror games like Until Dawn or The Quarry, but Genvid Technologies’ idea is different from Supermassive’s. And this project will be a sinteractive streaming series who will invite everyone to join his proposal to make decisions together.

In addition to Genvid, experts in the field are involved in the project such as Bad Robot Games (video game section of the JJ Abrams production company), Behavior Interactive (creators of Dead by Daylight) and DJ2 (producers of live action adaptations of games as well known as Life is Strange or Disco Elysium, although they have not yet seen the light of day).

What it will be like to play or see Silent Hill Ascension is still a mystery despite the magnificent trailer that we have been able to enjoy today, but what is clearer is what the upcoming games in the franchise. The remake of Silent Hill 2 in charge of Bloober Team aims to bring us back to what many consider to be the best game in the saga, while Silent Hill F will bet on a much more Japanese setting. Finally, Silent Hill Townfall It will come from the creators of Stories Untold and Observation to offer a more psychologically focused horror experience.
