Brno studio Madfinger Games is enjoying the success of his first PC game. Military action Gray Zone Warfare caught the attention of players and sold more than 900 thousand of the base game and another 475 thousand of upgraded DLC editions in the first month.
“This achievement means a lot to us, it really amazed us and exceeded our expectations. It also represents our long-term commitment to Gray Zone Warfare, which means that the game will continue to improve and evolve.” says the team in a press release.
“Releasing our first game on PC was an incredible experience. Seeing Gray Zone Warfare at the top of the Steam charts from a team of 80 was an incredible honor. We want to say a huge thank you to our amazing community for your tremendous support. We also appreciate the many media outlets that have shared their first impressions of our game, created guides and other content. Thank you!”
“Working with the content creators has been an absolute joy. We've been following a wide range of impressions and emotions from streamers on Twitch, and whether their feedback was positive or negative, we really appreciated that Gray Zone Warfare was getting so much attention. With over 152,000 viewers on Twitch during release, we reached the 3rd most viewed game, which is incredible.” the creators continue.
During the first month, Gray Zone Warfare patched one major patch and four faster hotfixes. “There is still a lot of work ahead of us to improve the Gray Zone Warfare experience. We are working hard to optimize the game and the second patch is already on the way. We will also be revealing our roadmap and the content of the first major update soon. Stay tuned!” they deliver.
Previously, representatives of the studio said that Gray Zone Warfare is a long-term project that will be developed and improved until the authors achieve the ultimate gaming experience. For that reason, it can be in early access for several years.
