The Japanese creative presented these days a documentary about his creative process throughout his years of career in the world of video games.
Hideo Kojima has us used to being a most transgressive creative, as he defined his own stealth subgenre with Metal Gear Solid and would later also trick us into changing the protagonist in his second installment. Years later, with the arrival of Death Stranding, Kojima too shape the genres to your liking to offer a unique experience whose main strength is to build your own path. Now, the Japanese creative goes a step further and dreams of making a game that can be played in space.
It seems a little early to be able to raise the space travel with video games on board, but it certainly seems like a company worthy of Kojima himself. Being the creator of the first video game to work in space sounds pretty cool.
Hideo Kojima wants to travel to space
As we can read through the Twitter account of Stephen Totilo, from Axios, during the premiere of the documentary on Hideo Kojima, the presenter of the Summer Game Fest, Geoff Keighley, asked the Japanese what he wants to do in the future. Kojima’s response, as always, was completely unexpected and suggested they send him into space.
“I want to go to outer space. I want to go to outer space and create a game you can play in space… So please, someone send me into space,” Kojima joked.
At the NYC premiere for the Hideo Kojima documentary Connecting Worlds, Kojima is asked by Geoff Keighley what he wants to do in the future:

At the moment we don’t know if it will get someone to send it into space or not, but the truth is that The projects accumulate for the Japanese creative. Hideo Kojima is currently working on Death Stranding 2, a mysterious project with Xbox that would be cloud-based, and part of the production, design, and writing of the Death Stranding movie.
