You may not believe what we are about to tell you, but the original announcement of Beyond Good and Evil 2 occurred in 2008, exactly sixteen years ago. Many things have happen since then. Development has been stopped, paused, resumed and restarted so many times that it is impossible to determine what state it is currently in. However, many continue to wonder if Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still alive. Now we have an answer.
And it is that the remastering of the first installment has confirmed it. Just a few hours ago Ubisoft made it official that Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition, which was supposed to arrive during the first half of the year, will finally do so on June 25, just in time. As if that were not enough, the announcement has brought with it a new website dedicated to the video game that confirms what we all wanted to know: that yes, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is indeed still a reality.

This is what he said the aforementioned portal dedicated to Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition:
“Learn more about Jade's childhood and her connection to Beyond Good and Evil 2 thanks to a new treasure hunt through Hillys. She collects exclusive cosmetic rewards as you progress through the game and explore the planet.”
Furthermore, the portal PC Gamer has shared a fragment of a press release that Ubisoft has distributed internationally and that says in other words the same thing as before, but even doing greater emphasis on the sequel from the work of Michel Ancel:
“This special edition will contain a hunt where players can discover more about Jade's past and collect exclusive cosmetic rewards. “This new exclusive mission also reveals more about the narrative link to Beyond Good and Evil 2, showcasing Ubisoft’s resilient commitment to the franchise.”
The announcement of the remastering of Beyond Good and Evil is now official and will arrive very soon on Xbox One and Series X|S

As you can see, the references to Beyond Good and Evil 2 are more than clear and this is the closest we have come to knowing news about the second installment of the beloved Ubisoft franchise in years.
