For a long time, the Silent Hill franchise remained in a state of absolute suspension, without receiving any kind of news. However, in October 2022 the situation changed drastically, and Konami announced a large number of projects, among which was the highly anticipated remake of Silent Hill 2. However, since the Japanese celebrated said broadcast, there has been hardly any news about the different games that were announced. The good news is that this will change in the next few hours, as the company has announced a new Silent Hill event for this week.
Although two of the games announced during the event held in 2022 have already reached the market, such as Silent Hill Acension or Silent Hill: The Short Message, the most anticipated thing about that event is, without a doubt, Silent Hill 2 Remake and Silent Hill F. Although it has not been officially confirmed that the two will be in the new Silent Hill event, it is more than obvious that the return of the PS2 classic will be present. In fact, it has been confirmed that at the event we will be able to see news about the games, the movie and the franchise's merchandising.
Date, time and where to see the Silent Hill event
Contrary to rumors that indicated that Konami could be present at one of the big events confirmed for the Summer Game Fest, the company has decided to hold a completely independent Silent Hill event, and the best of all is that we won't have to wait long to be able to see it. Under the name “Silent Hill: Transmission”, this new event will be held next May 31 at 01:00 Spanish time, or on May 30 at 5:00 p.m. Mexico City time. Where can we follow it? For now, none of the names that will be present at the event have been confirmed. However, Bloober Team has shared the announcement through its official X account, so its presence with Silent Hill 2 Remake is more than guaranteed. It just remains to be seen whether or not Silent Hill F will be present at the eventsince after its announcement, Konami has not shared any type of official information about it.
