Larry Hryb, better known to the Xboxer community as Major Nelson for his Xbox Live Gamertag where he accumulates more than 17 million followers, left the Xbox team after 20 years in July of last year. The popular and versatile executive left in search of a new professional adventure, although he expressed that he would take some time to think and rest first.
And it seems that the time has come to return to the industry, because through a message in X (Twitter) he himself has been in charge of announcing that he has a new job:
I'm excited to announce that I'm joining the Community team at Unity! Building on my long history as a developer advocate at Xbox, I'm excited to collaborate with developers again, harnessing our collective creativity to shape the future of real-time gaming and experiences. Let's make magic!

Major Nelson is a very beloved character and a prominent figure in the video game industry, especially in the Xbox community. Since 2003 he was one of the most recognizable faces both inside and outside of Microsoft, with a leading role in the presentation of Xbox hardware, the promotion of game catalogs and construction of the Xbox Live platform.
When Hryb joined Xbox in 2003, shortly after the launch of the original Xbox, he was already embedded at Microsoft working on MSN Music. He quickly became one of the key figures during the launch of Xbox Live, Xbox 360 and subsequent consoles.
