One Piece gives Luffy a new power that leaves fans stunned
It is well known that, throughout the history of One Piece, Luffy has had multiple power up or power increases which have been extremely useful when facing the various enemies that have crossed his path, its most recent update being that of Gear 5.
Although, considering the “divine” nature of Gear 5, it was believed that Luffy's powers could not go any further, the most recent chapters of the manga have proven otherwise, as they have offered a new Straw Hat ability which has left fans stunned.

And, in the most recent chapter of the manga we see how Luffy is able to use his Gear 4 power, but only partiallybeing able to concentrate this ability on certain specific parts of his body, without needing to completely transform.
This post Contains spoilers for chapter #1129 of the One Piece manga.
Luffy can now use Gear 4 partially, without a full transformation
In the story of One Piece, with each of Luffy's new techniques and power increases, we witnessed how the Previous transformations and abilities became secondaryand although they did not become obsolete, they were used by Luffy very sparingly.
We had seen this same situation with Gear 5, since, since the Straw Hat managed to awaken his Devil Fruit, his other abilities lost prominence, since, In the vast majority of his battles we saw him using the Gear 5except in those against enemies that did not require the great expenditure of energy of the Gear 5.
However, the most recent chapter of the manga has given a drastic turn to this situation, since we see how Luffy is able to use your Gear 4 abilities without completely transforming your entire bodyconcentrating all the power of his transformation solely in his hand.
The Gear 4 movement that Luffy uses is nothing more and nothing less than “Gong Gun”, a technique in which Luffy compresses his hand on his forearm and uses both a gun and a bullet, but in this case transforming only his arm to execute itwithout having any effect on the rest of your body.
A feat like this had never been seen in the history of One Piece, because, while it was known that Luffy can use his previous skills and techniques even after “evolving”, so to speak, the fact that he can using transformations partially is something totally new and surprising.
Luffy was seen partially using Gear 4 for the first time in chapter #1127, although fans thought it might be a mistake, considering that chapter was full of anomalies and apparent hallucinations. However, chapter #1129 confirms that it was not a mistake, but a new update to Luffy's powers.
There is no denying the fact that this increase or upgrade of Luffy's power is extremely useful and favorable for the Straw Hat and his crew, then, not only allows him to use his previous techniques with greater ease and with less effort, but also makes the energy expenditure is much less for Luffy.
For now, it is not known what the limitations and conditions could be for this new increase in power that allows Luffy to partially use his transformations, nor the possible consequences it may have, but, so far, seems to be a very promising technique for the Straw Hat.
