Mephisto exists in the MCU, as recently confirmed
For some time now in the MCU, after the start of Phase 4 with the launch of WandaVision, there had been speculation about the possibility that the well-known and fearsome villain from the comics, Mephisto became involved with the Scarlet Witch in some way, in the same way we have seen him do it in the Marvel Comics stories.
Although, for a long time, it seemed that this was not going to happen, the most recent episode of the series Agatha, who else? reveals that the demon Mephisto exists in the MCUand although the character is not introduced, we see how he is mentioned in a conversation. Below, we will tell you all the details about it, but you should know that this post contains spoilers for episode #3 of the series Agatha, who else?
Mephisto exists in the MCU and Agatha Harkness confirms it
After the launch of the series WandaVisionfans began to speculate regarding the possible introduction of Mephisto as an antagonist in Wanda's story, due to the stories and interactions they have had over the years in the comics. Although Marvel did not present the demonic villain as Wanda's enemy, the series spin-off of WandaVision finally confirms the existence of the character in the UCM.
And, in episode #3 of the series Agatha, who else?we see how Jennifer Kale's character warns the teenager (played by Joe Locke) that he must be careful of Agatha, since it is rumored that she traded her son, Nicholas Scratch, for the Darkhold, and there is the possibility that this is now an agent of Mephistosince it is not known what happened to him.
This lets fans know two points that are key and extremely important: 1) Mephisto exists in the MCUand 2) the villain most likely has agents working for him. As a result of this, the theory has even arisen that one of the members of Agatha's coven could secretly be an agent of Mephisto, with the two most likely candidates being Río Vidal and the teenager.
For now, fans will have to wait to find out if any agents of Mephisto are revealed in the Agatha series, but even if this doesn't happen, the fact that Mephisto has been revealed to exist is not only extremely impressive, but also gives rise to to the possibility of a future appearance of the villain in an upcoming film, giving the MCU a new formidable antagonist, considered one of the strongest bad guys that exists in the franchise.
