This is Marvel’s plan to eliminate the Hulk once and for all
Hulk has been part of the Marvel Universe since its creation in 1962, by Jack Kirby and the famous and well-known Stan Lee. The story of this character relates that a scientist named Bruce Banner was accidentally exposed to gamma raysdeveloping the ability to turn into a giant, green humanoid whenever he experienced stress or anger.
Throughout his participation in both the comics and the movies of the Marvel Universe, Hulk and his alter ego, Bruce Banner, have shown have certain conflicts with each otherWell, while the scientist is a peaceful and reserved person, the Hulk is quite impulsive and prone to violence.
In volume #12 of the comic HulkBruce Banner is shown to have managed to use meditation to turn your brain into some kind of control room, from which he “manages” his body while in Hulk form. However, Banner knows that this solution is not going to be permanent, so he has to a “plan b” to be able to contain the Hulk and prevent it from wreaking havoc when he is no longer able to control it directly.
Banner knows that when he dies, the Hulk, being immortal, will continue to “torment any soul that comes his way.” It is therefore that Bruce has created a rather drastic and radical plan to be able to eliminate the Hulk before dying: implant nuclear bombs in the Hulk’s head.
The scientist is not entirely sure that he will be able to kill the Hulk with this plan, but he hopes that the explosion will split the Hulk’s body into many, many pieces that are small enough and scattered enough that not be able to survive or regenerate.
For a “peaceful” person, Banner isn’t applying the best means to contain the Hulk, and while it’s understandable that he’s scared by the Hulk’s immortality, which allows him to live even if he dies, the truth is that this plan is extremely drastic and somewhat excessive.
There is no doubt that Bruce Banner is totally scared and desperate that the Hulk will live after he dies, and he has shown it by create this plan to be able to eliminate the Hulk once and for all.
