Find out what has happened recently in a Marvel comic regarding time travel.
The Marvel Universe is full of magical and mystical things.. From aliens, multiverses, mythological creatures and celestial beings, to unrealistic practices such as resurrection, teleportation, travel between universes and travel through time.
When it comes to time travel, Marvel has implemented this element for quite some time in their stories. Although in Marvel this is not something new, in a recent comic something rather mysterious has happened around the practice of time travel. Here we tell you all the details about it.
Time travel in Marvel
It is well known that time travel is quite common in the Marvel Universeas well as questionable practices like resurrection, which has been one of the biggest lies of the X-Men.
Marvel has implemented time travel in many of their stories, the most recent being the time when the avengers traveled millions of years into the pastmeeting their versions of prehistoric Avengers, and making the reveal that there’s a character likely to join the Avengers soon.
The reason the Avengers took this trip back in time was to fight a version of Dr. Doom, called Doom Supreme, and the multiversal Masters of Evilwho have been in charge of causing havoc, traveling through various realities and time lines with the aim of conquering them.
In order to stop these vile characters, the Avengers had to fight them on Earth-616, in the timeline of the prehistoric Avengerswith the support of the latter.
The showdown begins in volume #1 of the comic. Avengers Assemble Alpha, from Marvel. Arriving and meeting the prehistoric Avengers, the present day Avengers feel some tension. after a short time a confrontation breaks out between the two groups of Avengers.
Yes ok Captain America tries to keep things calmClaiming that their team is only intent on helping, the heroes continue their battle. As Captain America tries to calm everyone down, Ghost Rider tells him that they don’t need his help.and that one of his Avengers “reeks of sin.”
Namor approaches Ghost Rider with the intention of attacking him., takes him by the neck and tells him to control his Avengers or Namor will do it for him, while calling him “Walking Fossil”. Ghost Rider, in a mocking tone, tells Namor: “They call me Ghost Rider, which means, I don’t walk. He knows my transportation”. Once he says that, his Mammoth approaches Namor and begins to attack him.
Captain America approaches the scene and hits Ghost Rider with his shield to try to calm him down, at the same time as He asks her to use her penitential gaze on him. [Capitán América] so you can see that they really want to help them.
Ghost Rider refuses Captain America’s request, saying: “There is no need. I’m already using it”and Namor can be seen writhing in front of Ghost Rider’s Mammoth.
Result somewhat questionable the fact that the prehistoric Ghost Rider can use this techniquesince what he’s using to punish Namor is a technique from his future, even though it’s something from Namor’s past at the same time.
His look of penance he is taking advantage of the future so he can cause Namor painwhich brings with it the question of whether the future can be affected by this event, taking into account that in Marvel the future is always changing, having many possible futures that could be presented.
Also, we are left with the question of whether the current timeline of Earth-616 in which all the characters’ stories unfold is a staple that never changes.
In this story, Mephisto has stated that he exists in all parts of time at the same time, being aware of his future self and his past self at the same time. It is likely that Ghost Rider acts in a similar way, and that is the reason why he can punish someone for the sins of their past, even though that person’s past is their own future.
Either way, this huge puzzle and confusion regarding time travel is one factor that Marvel can continue to implement and explain further in upcoming stories.
