In addition to Fantastic Four and Captain America: Brave New World, Marvel Studios will release next year what many consider to be the company's most anticipated series: Daredevil: Born AgainMatt Murdock will return to the MCU with a new series that aims to surpass the original version released on Netflix almost a decade ago.
The series has gone through numerous creative processes and changes in direction, but it seems that they have finally found the right approach, one that also includes a significantly increased level of violence. This was revealed by Vincent D'Onofriothe actor who will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk, during an interview with Rotten Tomatoes. D'Onofrio assured that the violence in the series will “far exceed” what was seen in the Netflix version.
“There's one scene in particular that my character does that I can't believe made it into the final cut,” D'Onofrio said, hinting at the darker, more brutal and bloody side of Kingpin will be fully explored in this highly anticipated series, in addition to featuring action scenes that will leave several characters with broken bones and serious injuries.
The actors' and writers' strike apparently benefited Disney and Marvel Studios, as from that moment on, all of the company's future projects have taken a completely different approach, paying more attention to public demands and opting for fresher, more original work. Daredevil: Born Again will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in March 2025.
