During Friday's stream for the anticipated remake Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater with Noriaki Okamura expressed that he would like to work with againHideo Kojima, author of the entire series. Okamura is producer of the remake and held the same position on Metal Gear Solid: Portable Oops or the negatively received Metal Gear Survive. But he also participated in other works of the spy series.
“Speaking for myself, I would love nothing more than to work with Mr. Kojima and the entire team again. It would be a dreamOkamura confides. He points out that he does not speak for the entire company. Relations between publisher Konami and Hideo Kojima are probably not very good. The circumstances of his departure fromKonami they are still not exactly known, but they resulted in, for example, the cancellation of a horror film Silent Hillswhose demo was a massive success, or according to many, an unfinished release Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
In last year's collection Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 was his name neglected in all documents describing the development of the given games. According to Okamura, this situation will not be repeated in the remake of the third part. “Mr. Kojima and the entire original team will be given credit for their work on the original,” he confirms in the same stream. But he also added that credit was already given to Kojima in said collection, which, as we've shown, is misleading. But yes, the famous “And Hideo Kojima Game” you will find in the game.
In addition to Playstation 5, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be released on Xbox Series X/S and PC. The exact date is not confirmed, but leaks indicate, that it could be on November 17 this year, i.e. on the 20th anniversary of the release of the original. In terms of story, it is the first part of the entire series set in the Cold War period.
