Nomura asks fans to spread word of mouth about the game among their friends and acquaintances.
Maybe Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin received more mixed reviews than Square Enix would have liked, but the Japanese company could give the green light to a sequel. Certainly, it is one of the most unique and special games in the Final Fantasy series thanks to its convoluted script and its soulslike action RPG actionbut still there.
At least, that’s what Tetsuya Nomura, who acts as the game’s producer, suggests. The Japanese creative leaves on the roof of the fans whether or not there is a sequel to Strangers of Paradise coming soon.
Possible sequel to Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
During a live broadcast to commemorate the release of the third and final DLC for Stranger of Paradise, Different Future, Nomura wanted to convey a message to the fan community, and that is that without your support there will be no sequel to the game. “When Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin first came out, there were many negative comments, especially online,” the Japanese creator commented (via Noisypixel). “However, I’m pleased to say that everyone who watched this live stream has grown very fond of Jack and his friends. So much so that some would love to see a sequel of the title”.
“And if you want that to happen, then it would certainly help if a person who sees this break the news to 10 other people. If word of mouth about the game spreads through the completion of the DLC, proving that this is a title that has really resonated with everyone, there may be a time when that we can meet again. Personally, I would love to work with Kumabe-san again. koei tecmo“
It sure looks like Strangers of Paradise It has not worked as well as they were at Square Enixalthough it had mostly positive reviews from the specialized press and players, without being one of the best games in the series or the genre. The Japanese company is going through a difficult period in which several of its most important bets seem not to find the right place, such as the recently released Forspoken, which has not been able to Fulfill the expectations.
