The 2023 season of Formula 1 is just around the corner, with the Bahrain Grand Prix taking place this weekend, and motor lovers are going up the walls with the expectation generated by Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin. Not 33, ok, but now EA confirms F1 23, its new installment of the quintessential simulator of the queen automotive category and which has been in the hands of the North American company since they acquired Codemasters more than a year ago. It is not a surprise to anyone that there is a new Formula 1 video game in development, since it is an annual saga that we have been enjoying for many years, but it is not bad to have official confirmation.
“New season, new beginning”has succinctly declared the EA Sports F1 official account on Twitter before giving way to a promotional image of the game in which we can see part of the outline of a new car. Coincidence or not, the car in the image is dominated by a black tone that this year in Formula 1 has gained prominence for being the color of carbon fiber that allows teams to save weight on paint or even vinyl. Beyond confirming the existence of the game and that it will once again have the official license of the automobile competitionElectronic Arts has not offered any further details on the Codemasters title.
Last season F1 22 arrived on July 1, a month before Formula 1’s summer break and somewhat earlier than it had been doing in the past. The dream that the official game of the competition arrives at the same time that the real championship seems impossible at this point and another year will not come true, so now we just have to wait for F1 23 to start offering its first details and let’s end up knowing what its release date will be definitive. Oh and don’t forget that tomorrow comes to Game Pass F1 22just in time for the start of the 2023 season.
