There are still several months to go until its release, but it is clear that Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most anticipated projects by fans. The creative reboot of the series in October of last year caused the new story of Matt Murdock to be closer to what we saw on Netflix, although it seems that it will follow a unique and different path to what has been seen so far.
During a chat on the official Marvel Studios podcast, Brad Winderbaumhead of Marvel Television, compared Daredevil: Born Again with one of the company's biggest hits on the small screen: X-Men '97, stating that both series bring back much-loved characters, but with a completely new approach.
“It's reviving something that fans love, but taking it in a new direction. These characters have matured, the universe is different than it was, things have changed.”
Winderbaum This comparison is based on the fact that these are series that already have a very clear context because they began many years ago, but at the same time they take a very different direction from what has been seen until now, since both the world and the characters have changed over time.
The comparison of Daredevil: Born Again with the animated series it's a good sign. X-Men '97 was a runaway success and became the studio's highest-rated series ever. Hopefully, the return of Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio will live up to fans' expectations.
