Popularity Steam continues to grow. Over the weekend, Valve's platform surpassed 38 million registered players, setting a new record. It is fast approaching the 40 million player mark.
On Sunday, September 22nd at 4:00 PM CET, Steam logged in 38,367,277 players. That's more than a million more than it was in August of this year, when it came out Black Myth: WuKong. A month earlier, it was 36.9 million users. However, it is not about the number of players who were in the game, but only about those registered. If you were wondering how many players were in a game on a record Sunday, it was just under 12 million. The rest had Steam just launching.
As of 2020, the numbers on Steam have practically doubled. There is no doubt that the business continues to grow and attract more and more players. The most played games are Counter-Strike 2, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and DOTA 2. Holding on is Black Myth: WuKong, which has fallen two places to fourth since its release. We can find more in the ranking of the ten most played titles Apex Legends, Naraka: Bladepoint, Source SDK Base 2007, Wallpaper Engine and Grand Theft Auto V.
