Bad news for those who were looking forward to the next installment of Rocksteady. Suicide Squad would have been delayed for the bad reception that his demonstration had. Surely more than one felt strange or tremendously disappointed to see what the game that would have the popular group of DC antiheroes as protagonists was really about.
To put ourselves better in context, the Rocksteady’s new project would be tied back to the DC universe, making it a joy to see the developer of the Batman trilogy get back on track. This time, the game would not revolve around the Dark Knight, as the protagonists would be a group of expendable misfits. The popularity of him in the wake of the James Gun movie is perfect for catapulting interest in this development.
Suicide Squad would have been delayed due to what was shown in the last State of Play
The last game released by Rocksteady was in 2015, and the hype for their next project was high. In line with his previous job, no less than a solid single player gamewith a campaign loaded with an interesting story and a more polished combat system than the one seen almost 8 years ago.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a multiplayer game, with waves of enemies and a small squad as allies. The game will force you to stay connected even if you don’t want to use its multiplayer additions, has a battle pass and a hackneyed combat system and nothing linked to the work of Rocksteady.

The general repudiation of the people when seeing the gameplay that was offered in the recent State of Play would have inclined to delay the game at the end of that year, in a mutual agreement between Warner Bros and Rocksteady. The game was scheduled to come out in May, dueling with such major releases as Diablo IV and Final Fantasy XVI. Undoubtedly, this delay will come in handy, but these months of margin would not be enough.

Although Suicide Squad would have been delayed, the main proposal cannot be changed in such a short time, so just expect a better release window, no big competitors, and fewer bugs in the final product. Unfortunately, this would not be enough to satisfy a community that, if the game were to come out now, would surely respond with massive scorn.
