The company responsible for the Dying Light zombie saga, Techland, surprised its followers with a new image that reveals what the fantasy universe of its next game will be like. Read the details in this note!
if you know Call of Juarez, first person shooter cowboy game series, or zombie saga dying light, you are probably familiar with the work of Techland. This Polish video game developer and distributor recently unveiled a bit more about his upcoming fantasy RPG, which we still don’t even know the name of.
Since last year, Techland he was dropping little facts about his upcoming mysterious video game. At first, they had clarified that they were working on an open-world RPG that was going to stand out for its gameplay, then they began to share concept images. This week, the company once again showed new art that, like the previous one, shows a more natural environment than what we are used to: with cliffs, temples, ruins and more.
“We never stop improving! Our newest game is set to be a narrative driven fantasy epic with an exotic open world ready to be explored. We strive to create a compelling story-focused AAA title that combines and refines the best aspects of the game that Techland is known”says the developer’s tweet along with the new concept art.
This landscape that would represent part of the map of the next game not only lets us see a character hanging from the branch of a large tree, but also makes clear the scale with which he is working. Techland. The fantasy world seems to be very big and not abandoned at all, because if we pay attention to the image we see people entering some kind of temple or building and also in the distance there is a small town. Also, if we look at the sky, we see what appears to be a large broken moon.
Other than what we saw in both concept images, not much else is actually known about the upcoming fantasy game from Techland. Last year, one of the things they did announce was that they had recruited several big names from CD Project Red to lend a hand: from the narrative directors of The Witcher 3, Karolina Stachyra and Arkadiusz Borowikeven the open world director of the same gameBartosz Ochmann.
The CEO of Techland, Pawel Marchewka, He had also spoken in the past about the new project: “Our ambition is to present a new intellectual property that is very different from what we have been doing for the last few years. We want to create a totally state-of-the-art experience. A new fantasy epic set in a sprawling open world, fueled by the skills and experience we’ve gained as a team over the years, infused with new ideas, passion and creativity.”
That is all that is known so far. Let’s remember that Techland It has not yet announced what the game will be called, nor its launch window or platforms to which the delivery will be directed. We will have to be patient and wait for more details.
