The fact that the E3 was going to return this year it was great news to know that what is considered the largest video game event in the world was going to return. However, a few weeks ago a rumor emerged that suggested that three of the big companies had made the decision not to be present at the 2023 edition, which involved Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
Well, in the last few hours Nintendo has confirmed this information with a statement that it has published and in which it has stated its reasons for not traveling to Los Angeles this year. Therefore, the big N will not be present in any way at this important fair.
We review our participation in any event on a case-by-case basis and are always considering various ways to engage with our fans. Since this year’s E3 event doesn’t fit into our plans, we’ve decided not to participate. However, we have been and will continue to be great supporters of ESA and E3.
As of today, the biggest release Nintendo has in the works for the next few months is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which will arrive on Nintendo Switch on May 12. From there, another very prominent game that will go on sale will be Pikmin 4 on July 21, but at the moment no more titles have been indicated that will arrive during the second half of 2023.
However, that does not mean that Nintendo is going to sit idly by, because you can choose to make a Nintendo Direct full of surprises, but none of them can be tested in person at E3. The new edition will take place from June 11 to 16 and for the moment the only ones that have revealed that they will attend are Ubisoft and Konami, waiting to find out what will happen with Sony and Microsoft.
