Microsoft would continue its multiplatform strategy with more games for PS5
There are two weeks left until Microsoft holds a Xbox Games Showcase which should be loaded with announcements of new games beyond the titles that the company hopes to launch over the next few months, such as the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Game or Avowed. The event will be historic bring Bethesda and Activision Blizzard together for the first timethe two large companies acquired in recent years.
Insider Gaming now reports that from Bethesda the announcement of the next game in the DOOM franchise is expectedwhich would have been under the code name “Year Zero”, although it will eventually be called DOOM: The Dark Ages after being in development for at least four years following the arrival of Doom Eternal in March 2020.
Past rumors indicated that DOOM's return would be through a world inspired by medieval times, something that seems to fit with the possibility of linking it to year zero or the dark ages, as the title of the game could be translated into Spanish. Thus, It is speculated that the game could lead to the Doomslayer's early life during medieval times..
DOOM will return to PS5 and Xbox Series
What seems like it will be a surprise is the announcement of DOOM: The Dark Ages for both Xbox Series and PS5 now that Microsoft will not hesitate to offer cross-platform games. This is what Nathe the Hate mentions when commenting on the leak, although does not specify a release for PS4 and Xbox Onesince it is possibly an experience for a new generation.

It all started when Microsoft announced that four Xbox games would become multiplatform, although the purchase of Activision Blizzard already led the company to secure the launch of Call of Duty on PlayStation and Nintendo. However, so will more games, with Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle being other candidates.
