Helldivers 2 director and former Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilested took to Twitter last week to ask a question that garnered 5,000 responses and 8,000 likes. “Ok, give me your best ideas for Eagle Stratagems in Helldivers 2.” And he added shortly after: “There are a lot of great ideas. We're looking at them! Plus, this is a lot more fun than brainstorming in a conference room. Let's see if we can find something.”
Many ideas followed the Eagle Stratagems, but others did not. One of the most interesting is to include a Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit or Stealth Bomber that launches multiple bombs that “opens up and performs a 360-degree high-powered laser spin like Ironman in Ironman 2,” says @Nasdorachi.
Others are not fooling around and propose that we helldivers have at our disposal a Lockheed AC-130 and that its operation is similar to what happens in Call of Duty. In fact, Reddit user John Helldiver has created a similar concept, but with a Vulture-1 ship.
Enter the code > Helldiver crouches and looks at his wrist device > Zooms in on a screen where you control the weapons of an AC-130 style Eagle that circles the area for a short time – @AllFatherMedia on Twitter
Among crazy ideas, @ELewisELC on Twitter goes off the deep end: “something that prevents the enemies from sending reinforcements for a minute or two would be very useful strategically.” Pilested himself responded: “Good idea. Like a disruption beacon, similar to what robots have.” Others ask for the same, but in the form of fighters that shoot down all the reinforcement ships for a time.
The ideas have not stopped coming to Reddit. User orbiting-teapot shared his idea: the ARC-8 Orbital Attack, which is a temporary attack with lightning to a specific area. Attach an image so that we can all understand the concept.
Finally, CalypsoThePython and others offer others: backpack for the flamethrower, a heavy plasma launcher (Fallout 76 style), an Exo-Veteran mecha armed with a railgun and a plasma launcher and finally the long-awaited Juggernaut from Call of Duty with its machine gun. Pilested has material for months.
In VidaExtra | I've seen Helldivers 2's Automata front become a “nobody wants to touch our worlds” problem, and it's for good reason.
In VidaExtra | I have abandoned my position in Helldivers 2 to travel to the past and fulfill the wish of many players: defend SuperEarth from the Automata
In VidaExtra | I would never touch the friendly fire of Helldivers 2, but I think this forgotten zombie video game could make it a lot better
