The series will return to Max in 2025

The Last of Us will return jumping Five years after the events of the first seasonwhere peace has accompanied the characters, although Joel and Ellie's common past catches up with them, leading them into conflict between them and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.
For the first time, not only will you see Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie in the new episodes, but you'll also see Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Rutina Wesley as Maria. The newly announced cast includes Kaitlyn Dever as AbbyIsabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. The series will expand the story of the games
The second season of The Last of Us will not fully cover the second video gamesince it has a much bigger story and, in addition, it has been confirmed that the adaptation will explore plots that were not explored in depth in The Last of Us Part II. According to Neil Druckmann, creator of the saga, the new season will include an unpublished secondary story, something that excites him along with other moments from the series, highlighting a scene that will offer more context about an important character, something that could not be developed in the video game.
