This month, one of Marvel Studios' most anticipated films is finally coming: Deadpool and Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will land in the MCU with a film that has been a long time in the making, but which, according to many involved, will be worth every minute.
The last to comment on this has been the actor Karan Soniwho plays the clumsy but beloved Dopinder, in an interview with the American media US Weekly. According to him, the film has taken longer than expected due to the arrival of Hugh Jackman, but at the same time, he assures that it comes at the most ideal time for Marvel Studios.
“It's been a long time coming, but it's been one of those things where because it's been a long time coming it's become really good. The script was really good. It was at a really good point. There was a version of the script before Hugh Jackman said yes. Because they waited for him to say yes, I think all the things come together and I think it's coming at the right time for the MCU, which is in dire need of something fresh. And I wouldn't bet against Ryan.”
Soni explains that they had a script ready before Jackman's arrival, but they decided to wait for the Australian actor since they knew that, with his participation, the film would be even more extravagant than they thought, and everything points to that being the case, judging by the trailers.
Initially, the film was going to be a sort of Road Movie in which they had to save Christmas after a problem with Santa Claus, but once Disney and Jackman got involved, the plot changed completely to become a multiversal madness of biblical proportions. Deadpool and Wolverine will hit theaters around the world on July 25, 2024.
