If we are to speak in terms of force in the universe of marvel comicsthere is no doubt that one of the heroes that best represents her is Thor. The God of Thunder not only uses his muscles, but uses his dear Mjölnir to dole out justice against supervillains. Still, virtually no one can make use of his legendary weapon.
This is because Odin, the king of Asgard, performed an enchantment on the hammer that prevents it from being raised even a foot from the ground. An inscription on the metal that reads that “Whoever holds this hammer, if he is worthy, will possess the power of Thor.” We could see that in the UCM Captain America was able to carry it during the final battle against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, but it is a very rare exception within the House of Ideas.
But is there any DC character who has done it? The probabilities are minimal, especially due to the slight detail that we are dealing with rival publishers and different universes. However, that has not prevented both companies from joining forces on various occasions, which has moved Mjölnir to the DC universe and vice versa.
Specifically, there are two DC characters who have proven themselves worthy of carrying the hammer and they are not exactly unknown. The first of these was Wonder Woman, the indomitable Amazon. The event took place in 1996’s DC Versus Marvel #3 during a fight between Princess Diana and the mutant Storm. The first is revealed as worthy of carrying Mjölnir after losing it to Thor in a fight with Shazam. She acquires colossal power, even being able to use the power of lightning. Obviously, thanks to the climatic powers of Ororo Monroe we have a fight of elements between the two heroines.
Finally, Wonder Woman decides to leave the fight because she realizes that she could win very easily, although thanks to Mjölnir. Thus, she gives up Thor’s powers forever.
How could it be otherwise, the second on the list is Superman himself. The Man of Steel had the opportunity to fight with Mjölnir in his right hand and Captain America’s shield in his left hand during the events of Avengers/JLA #4 in 2003. In that comic by Kurt Busiek and George Pérez he mixed realities for the supergroups slapped each other’s fists and we had a fair share of beatings.
In the final stretch, with the Justice League and Avengers joining forces against Krona, Thor has no hesitation in offering his prized weapon to the Kryptonian. A being of Superman’s strength even claims to be overwhelmed with the power that he holds in his hand and gives a good account of it by starting to distribute tow. After the macro event ends, Kal-El attempts to return the hammer to Thor, but finds that he is no longer able to lift it.
The Asgardian explains that Odin, in extreme emergency situations, relaxes the conditions imposed to carry the hammer, which is why Superman was able to use it for a few moments. Here you can see the sequence.
