This is the official adaptation of one of Tatsuki Fujimoto's best one-shots.
Chainsaw Man has positioned himself as one of the most popular and surprising mangas of recent years. Its charismatic main characters and, above all, its surprising script twists were so convincing that it already has a 12-episode anime animated by MAPPA and has a film underway that will adapt one of its most popular story arcs: Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc.
While it is true that the manga starring Denji has been responsible for giving the mangaka international fame, his professional career has other works worthy of praise. One of them is Look Back, a 2021 one-shot that will be brought to the big screen this year, and an X user has revealed the exact duration What this new anime movie could have.
The duration of Look Back, the film that adapts one of Tatsuki Fujimoto's greatest works
@SugoiBingus was responsible for revealing this May the duration that this film, long awaited by Fujimoto fans, could have. Below you will see the original post where you share this information:
Theatrical Anime “LOOK BACK” is listed with a total runtime of 1 HOUR 1 MINUTE.
Its run begins June 28, 2024 in Japan. Studio DURIAN. pic.twitter.com/XOCCpWumo0
— SUGOI BINGUS (@SugoiBingus) May 11, 2024
As @SugoiBingus indicates, the film would have a total duration of 1 hour and 1 minutesomething that makes a lot of sense if we take into account the brief story told by the Look Back manga in its 144 pagesa number of pages lower than the Chainsaw Man manga volumes and even Goodbye Eri, another Fujimoto one-shot that reaches 208 pages.
On the other hand, X user @MappleYellovv, who dropped the film's existence before its official confirmation, also supported the duration indicated by @SugoiBingus, giving reliability to this information. @SugoiBingus also remembers in the publication that the new Studio DURIAN is involved in the project and that the feature film would reach theaters in Japan on June 28 of this year.
Like the first volumes of the Chainsaw Man manga, Look Back has also been available for purchase in Spain for some time. Its story is completely far from the frenetic action scenes that Denji and company have, since it is really about a drama that tells part of the lives of Fujino and Kyomototwo young students with artistic interests who dream of becoming professional manga artists.
