Ubisoft returned to Steam late last year with Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
After three years missing from Steam, Ubisoft decided to offer its games again on the Valve platform just a few months ago. After wanting to boost their releases on their Uplay service, later releasing their titles on the Epic Games Store, the creators of Assassin’s Creed returned to the platform with the latest assassins game and promised the release of Anno 1800 and Roller Champions. Now, the surprise premiere of Watch Dogs: Legion has taken place.
Without prior notice, Watch Dogs: Legion is now available on Steam after its original release in 2020. The third installment of the saga takes players to a huge open world with the most emblematic places of a London of the future. New is never-before-seen gameplay with a unique story, personality, and abilities that unfold across many characters.
Watch Dogs: Legion has arrived on Steam with all its editions reduced by 80%. Thus, it is possible to download the basic edition for only €12 and the Deluxe edition for two more euros. Watch Dogs: Legion Gold Edition, including the Season Pass, is available for €20 and the Ultimate Edition for €24. This latest edition adds:
- The Urban Jungle Pack, which includes three exclusive characters with their own abilities and skins.
- Three additional skins.
- Four weeks of VIP benefits.
Ubisoft’s plans in 2023
It is unknown now if the next releases from Ubisoft will arrive on Steam close to their release window or years later. This year the company’s big launches are Assassin’s Creed Miragethe return of the saga to its origins, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandoraafter the successful second film by James Cameron.
The return to Steam could be linked to the difficult times facing Ubisoft, which has canceled numerous unannounced projects to save big costs after confirming that sales of its latest titles have not met expectations, with Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Just Dance 2023 being the biggest disappointments of last year. Will the company take a good turn again this year?
