Valorant will stop working on many computers

Riot Games has plans to improve its star shooter, so Valorant will stop working on many computers. It’s not a move that’s been taken lightly, but Riot believes that increasing its minimum in-game requirements and cutting compatibilities will improve the fight against cheaterssince the most current operating systems have better security systems, something that Valorant can take advantage of as they have published in their account Twitter.

This movement will leave out many users, since the new measure intends to leave without support all those players who have a version prior to Windows 10, since, as we have said before, security tools and patches will help in the battle against cheaters. However, for many users, this measure is killing mosquitoes with cannon shots, since the cut will affect many good players.

Starting March 14, VALORANT/Vanguard will end support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 for security reasons. By switching support to the newer version of Windows, we can take advantage of the latest security features and patches–making it harder on cheaters.

Valorant will stop working on many computers

The change from previous versions of Windows, such as Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1, are still widely used by ordinary people, but Riot believes that the gains gained from the trade outweigh the losses of players after trimming. It should be noted that the change to Windows 10 is very simple and we should not have problems when changing, since 90% of the computers that run a Windows 7 Operating System have the power to do the same with Windows 10.

You also have to remember that It is not the first time that Riot has made a move like this, League of Legends already received an upgrade of the minimum requirements, although they were not as aggressive as in this case, affecting only a small part of the players. Similarly, The changes will arrive throughout this year, with the rest of the surprises that Riot Games has prepared for Valorant, so this year can be a great year.
