End of an era for Marvel Studios. Victoria Alonso has left the discipline of the company after working in it since 2006 and having played the role of vice president of visual effects and post-production. 17 years of experience that she has also combined being co-producer of projects such as Iron Man, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger.
In addition, she has participated as an executive producer in all the films and television series of La Casa de las Ideas since The Avengers of 2012. Despite the fact that his departure is already effective, as confirmed by Variety, the truth is that Alonso will still appear in the credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Marvels as a producer. The same role will be shown in the Disney+ productions Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Echo and Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
Not only has Alonso worked as a member of Marvel Studios, but she recently participated as a producer of Argentina, 1985. The film won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film. and received an Oscar nomination in the same category. However, Alonso’s work has been harshly criticized in recent years of his career.
And it is that in 2021 she was promoted to president of post-production, VFX and animation at Marvel Studios, for which she supervised all the processes of Marvel productions after filming and before they went on screen.
