Although a lot of information about the film has been unknown since it was announced, the live-action Metal Gear Solid movie is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated adaptations among video game lovers. Oscar Isaac will play the legendary Solid Snake, but it seems that Kojima would have preferred a very different actor.
Through his personal Twitter account, the legendary Japanese director revealed that, for him, Tom Burke It was the definitive version of the spy in real life. His appearance was quite similar, and he claims that when he met him, the actor himself told him that during the filming of Furiosa, everyone told him the same thing.
The actor is one of the great stars of George Miller's latest film, where he played Praetorian Jack, one of Furiosa's allies. Although his career has been full of moderately good films, he is not as globally known as Isaac.
Even so, it must be recognized that Burke is quite similar to Snake's style, especially in the last film of Mad Max. Although it does not seem that his future is linked to the Metal Gear Solid franchise, it is clear that Kojima is especially fond of him, so it would not be surprising to see him in future projects by the Japanese director.
