The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom launches alongside a new console
Nintendo surprised everyone when, without any prior rumor about its imminent launch, it presented in the most recent Nintendo Direct The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, a new video game in the franchise that will have the graphic style seen in the remake of Zelda: Link's Awakening and which, in addition, will have as its main novelty that for the first time in the history of the franchise it will be possible control Princess Zelda.
In that sense, although it could be considered a spin-off, it must be said that within Nintendo this title is treated as a main installment of the franchise which also has the great incentive of having the premiere of a new themed Nintendo Switch Lite model scheduled for launch. Now, with a view to its arrival in the Nintendo Switch digital store, it has recently been learned the storage space that The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom will require.
The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom will weigh 6,144 GB in its digital version
This information has been made known through the Nintendo eShop in the UK, in which it has been reported that The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom digital download size will be 6.144 GBthat is, in a certain sense it will be practically the same as the remake of Zelda Link's Awakening in 2019, which could be downloaded with 5.9 GB.
Having said all this, it remains to be seen how far the franchise goes in the near future, since although this video game has been the most striking of the Nintendo Direct even above Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, the truth is that it has also completely destroyed the chances of The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess being released on Nintendo Switch. Time will tell if Nintendo surprises in 2025.
For the rest, remember that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released for Nintendo Switch on September 26 as the first major exclusive from the Japanese company for this year's Christmas campaign, which will be the last for Nintendo Switch.
