Nintendo will stop being so restrictive with the vocabulary used by users.
For a few hours now, Nintendo Switch has had a new system update that, apart from the typical stability settings to make the whole system more efficient, it brings a significant change. A detail more anecdotal than practical in itself, but it doesn’t hurt to take a look at it to keep it in mind in the future.
The Nintendo Switch system, like that of other consoles and online services these days, block some bad words so they cannot be used as usernames or online communications. These words include both insults and other derogatory adjectives. Well, the latest update of the Nintendo Switch system has modified that list of blocked words and has removed some examples.

As the user OatmealDome shared through his personal Twitter account, this new Nintendo Switch firmware update would add new stability settings to the system’s features and would modify the list of words prohibited by the Japanese company. Nintendo has a reputation for being restrictive. in this regard to ensure that your console system is a place safe and inclusive for all people and groupsalthough it would have lifted its foot a bit with this update.

The official patch notes state “stability” as the sole change.
Internally, the bad words lists were rearranged to reduce erroneous blocking, and various words were added/removed in some languages.

It is not known exactly which of these swear words have been revised, or if it has been in all languages, so it will be necessary to continue carrying be careful when using profanity or derogatory words.
