Minecraft is currently available on PS5 through backward compatibility
Although it has more than a decade behind it since its launch, Minecraft continues to be the video game with the largest community of players globallywhich has made it the best-selling video game in history without any other title that comes close, so everything indicates that it will take us a long time to see another license that even comes close.
Be that as it may, one of the reasons why Minecraft has managed to get so far is because beyond all the possibilities it offers, it has had versions on practically all platforms, which means that this video game can be played on almost all the screens that exist. However, Mojang may soon release a version on a platform that still without its own version of Minecraft: PS5.
Minecraft could finally have its long-awaited version for PS5
Although Minecraft can be played on PS5 thanks to backward compatibility with the PS4 game, it does not exist as such a native version of the current Sony console, which means that players do not have some of the improvements that this platform offers such as instant loading, which, although it does not imply a great loss, is noticeable in the long run. However, this may soon change.
This is because the PlayStation Game Size account, known for keeping an eye on all the movements in the PlayStation Store, has uploaded a tweet in which it simply mentions PS5 version with a green tick, which could imply that the console would finally receive its long-awaited version of Minecraft. At the moment nothing is confirmed, so we will be waiting for it to be confirmed as such:
